Keeper Charters offers customers the opportunity to view lobsters being harvested. We actively fish five lobster traps daily.  This gives customers the opportunity to view the process of traditional lobster fishing. We hand-haul the traps, remove and measure the lobsters, rubber band the claws, and rebait the traps. The variety of life in the traps can be quite surprising. You keep the legal size lobsters. Fertile female lobsters, per Maine law, must be returned. Many consider the lobster trap portion of our trips to be one of the highlights.
